Presence of a partner or companion
The presence of a partner or doula is a given for us. You can be accompanied by up to two people during the birth, who will support you throughout the process. The only exception is children, who cannot be present during the birth.
A close person provides the mother with a sense of certainty, security, and helps better manage pain and stress. The support of a partner or doula can significantly contribute to a smoother delivery and a more relaxed atmosphere.
Ideally, arrange for your companion in advance and discuss your wishes and expectations together. We recommend packing comfortable clothes and drinks for them so they feel good during the birth as well. The choice of companion is entirely up to you – it can be your partner, a doula, or another close person you trust.
