The capacity of the maternity ward and the assurance of admission
We set the capacity of the maternity ward so that we can accommodate all mothers-to-be who choose to give birth with us. Only in exceptional situations may there be a redirection, but we will always ensure that you have a safe place to give birth in another nearby maternity hospital.
For mothers, this means great assurance – you know that you can rely on us. And if the capacity is indeed insufficient, we won't leave you in that situation. We will help resolve everything quickly and as gently as possible.
We recommend arriving at the maternity hospital on time, as soon as regular contractions begin or the amniotic fluid breaks. Early registration also increases the certainty of being admitted and facilitates the paperwork on the day of delivery.
