Release to homes
You leave home at the moment when both you and the baby are well. The doctor will examine you, prepare the necessary documentation, and provide a referral for further care. This ensures that you have all the information and instructions for a peaceful start at home.
Discharge means that both you and the baby are taken care of, and you can move to a home environment knowing that everything is prepared for a safe start.
We recommend arranging in advance who will take you home and having a car seat ready. For the first few days at home, it is also good to ensure assistance – from a partner, family, or a doula – so that you have space to rest and focus only on yourself and the baby.
