Care for mom after childbirth
In the postpartum department, experienced midwives take care of you. They monitor your vital signs, healing of any injuries, the contraction of the uterus, and your overall mental well-being. If necessary, they will call a doctor at any time to ensure that your care is complete and safe.
The mother has the reassurance that someone is taking care of her even after giving birth – a period that is physically and emotionally demanding. Timely detection of any complications helps protect the health of both the mother and the baby.
Don’t hesitate to speak openly if you’re in pain, if you have trouble breastfeeding, or if you’re not feeling mentally well. It is completely natural, and we are here to help you.
Allow yourself as much rest as possible. If you have other children at home, try to arrange for support from your partner or family – even small support can make a big difference.
