Episiotomy
Episiotomy (perineal incision) is performed only in situations where there is a risk of serious perineal injury or when it is necessary to expedite delivery for the safety of the baby. We prefer a gentle childbirth approach that respects the natural process, so the need for an incision is minimal.
A gentle approach helps reduce the risk of injury and promotes faster and more comfortable healing after delivery. The goal is for the mother to give birth as naturally as possible, respecting her body's pace.
During pregnancy, you can ask about techniques that help reduce the likelihood of an incision – such as suitable positions, warm compresses, or perineal massage. You can start practicing massage and relaxation techniques at home so that the body responds better during labor.
