Length of hospitalization
The length of hospitalization depends on your health condition and the baby's condition. Usually, mothers leave 2–3 days after a spontaneous delivery and 3–4 days after a cesarean section. If everything is fine, the stay can be shorter or longer – it depends on your comfort and the doctor's recommendations.
Hospitalization provides time for recovery and the opportunity to receive support from nurses, doctors, and lactation consultants. These first few days often help mothers feel more confident in caring for themselves and their baby.
If you feel well and both the pediatrician and the doctor agree, you can leave earlier. Just arrange the procedure.
At home, prepare for a peaceful first few days – partner assistance, enough food, a comfortable place to rest, and everything needed for the baby.
