Bonding
Immediately after birth, bonding begins right in the delivery room. We place the baby on your belly or chest and you remain in uninterrupted contact for about two hours – until you both move to the maternity ward. These first moments are crucial for you and your child.
Immediate skin-to-skin contact supports the initiation of breastfeeding, helps stabilize the baby, and naturally strengthens the mutual bond. Mothers often describe that this moment brings them a sense of calm and deep connection.
Don’t hesitate to tell the staff that you want uninterrupted bonding – we are here to accommodate you. If it is your priority, you can also include it in your birth plan.
